Position: Software Engineer

Tachyon Solutions is looking for an individual who will serve as a technical developer and a member of our client engagement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for design, development, implementation and integration of web based technical solutions. Specific responsibilities will include:

• Active participation through all phases of the development lifecycle
• Transformation of customer business requirements, typically
  documented as use cases, into a comprehensive solution using the appropriate methods, tools and technologies
• Participation in the design and creation of application components and system integration plans
• Creation and execution of unit, integration and system test plans
• Development of design and/or other related technical documentation
• Definition of scope/estimates for development activities

Requirements:

• Experience with object oriented server-side development and object oriented design
• Strong experience in software development
• Experience with client-side development (XHTML, JavaScript, CSS)
• Experience with the server side development (JSP, ASP.NET/C#, PHP)
• XML parsing and transformation, including Web Services
• Experience with SQL/Relational Databases

Education/Experience:

• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical
  field
• 2-3 years experience
