Tachyon Solutions Wins Best of Industry Internet Advertising Award

Tachyon Solutions announced today that the firm has been awarded the Best Shopping Email Message Award in the 2008 Internet Advertising Competition (IAC).

The award recognizes Tachyon’s creative solution for a Shopping Email message for Sanrio Co. Ltd, based in San Francisco. Sanrio is best known for its line of Hello Kitty® merchandise that is marketed worldwide. In the Western Hemisphere Sanrio character-branded products are sold in upwards of 12,000 locations including department, specialty, national chain stores and over 200 Sanrio boutiques. This vast merchandising channel is supported by Tachyon’s email solutions that are sent to opted-in subscribers to the Hello Kitty clubs nationwide.

“The marketing team at Sanrio needed a more effective way to translate their brand into an effective email campaign. The Hello Kitty brand is very well entrenched across all of their sales channels. The inclusion of an email campaign had to follow those rigorous guidelines, and yet have a high usability and customer-centric feel to it,” states Marion Lewis, CEO of Tachyon Solutions. “We worked very closely with Sanrio’s Marketing and Brand teams to develop this highly effective campaign that satisfied every benchmark defined for this project.”

The IAC Awards were developed by the Web Marketing Association to honor excellence in the online advertising category, recognize the individuals and organizations responsible, and showcase the award winning Internet advertising. The IAC Awards are the first and only industrybased advertising award competition dedicated exclusively to online advertising. Entrants within 80 industry categories are reviewed by at least three judges who evaluated the sites, or campaigns, based on creativity, innovation, impact, design, copywriting, and use of the medium.
