The Situation:

Marcus Uniforms is a family-owned business that has been selling quality uniforms, scrubs, shoes and medical accessories for over 15 years via a brick and mortar department store and catalog sales directly to consumers.  Marcus Uniforms has also had tremendous success in the B2B arena by selling to institutions. 

 

The Challenge:

Marcus Uniforms wanted to increase its B2C business and decided to invest in its online business to do so.  While Marcus already had a website, it did not have the scalability to reach the sales volume Marcus Uniforms was projecting, nor did it allow the advanced merchandising Marcus knew it needed.  Marcus Uniforms knew that just upgrading the website platform wasn’t enough – a whole new platform was required along with a new user interface and a robust administrative interface to allow for on-the-spot merchandising.

 

The Solution:

Using our Collaborative Development Process, Tachyon Solutions helped Marcus Uniforms decide on Able Commerce as the core platform for their new e-commerce site. Tachyon extended AbleCommerce’s capabilities through customizations to the administrative console, merchandising capabilities, integrated search, and an interactive embroidery process to allow customers to personalize their purchases. Marcus Uniforms now has a robust e-commerce site that will grow with sales and has the necessary documentation to maintain, scale, and upgrade in the future. 

Post launch, Tachyon Interactive provides Marcus Uniforms with ongoing marketing support through their SEM, SEO, e-mail marketing and analytics services.  Tachyon Technologies continues to provide technical support to supplement Marcus Uniforms in-house capabilities.
